  • When training is provided under contract by our organization for an operator the following standard applies:
  • CASS 723.98 and 724.115: Flight Crew Training On A Contract Basis states that an air operator may contract crew member training to another organization provided:
    • the arrangement is clearly provided for in the approved training program;
    • the outside organization uses the manuals and publications used by the air operator (SOP's, Aircraft Flight Manual, Aircraft Operating Manual, if applicable, Company Operations Manual, etc).
    • the air operator ensures that the training is conducted in accordance with the approved program;
    • where type training is conducted the training is provided on the type and model operated by the air operator unless otherwise provided for in the approved training program; and
    • the air operator maintains training records as required by Subpart 703 (or 704) of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
  • When CPAF conducts a training program away from our Abbotsford or Toronto facility the client is responsible for the instructor's travel to and from the location for the ground training as well as accommodation and meals during the period of the ground training. CPAF uses a Per Diem of $60 per day.
